Facebook. Twitter. LinkedIn. Blogs. The Social Media Revolution is well established, and is redefining itself daily. Everyone has jumped aboard the Social Media Express, and for good reason. If you haven’t…it’s time for you to punch your ticket.
There is no question that we are a culture dependent on being connected 24/7. As the Internet dramatically and continuously evolves – even in the midst of a recession – we have more and more become consumers…of information. From moms and young adults to tweens, professionals, the unemployed, underemployed and everyone in between, people want information that is readily accessible now. Not only information about the brands we are loyal to, the products we “can’t live without”, or the issues we are passionate about, but the people we care about and want to stay connected to, and what they are thinking and feeling in real time.
This is especially relevant given the rising statistics of ethnic audiences and their consumption of online content, with Hispanics outpacing the general market at twice the frequency of Internet usage, and African Americans being more likely than any other racial or gender group to use Twitter or another status update service.
When FCG opened nearly 20 years ago, the way we communicated was obviously and drastically different, but as perennial thought leaders in the public relations arena, we evolved with the times and advances, and the way we disseminate information to our audiences.
In 2010, FCG is committed to increasing our connectivity with our client partners, colleagues, consultants, and even our competitors through our corporate and social networks. We are proud to announce the rooting of our newest seed in the Flowers community, our blog, BLOOM. The purpose of BLOOM is simple: To share industry-related information, spark discussion on hot topics, breaking news, points of passion – all from the perspective of PRofessionals. Welcome, and let the conversation begin…
